Drop Side Cribs May be Banned in the US: Drop Side cribs have had numerous recent recalls and have led to deaths of at least 32 children since 2000. In May, 2010 a bill was introduced that would outlaw the sale and manufacture of drop side cribs. The bill is still pending:
